INDIANAPOLIS -- Loyola’s Danny Docherty (St. Paul, Minn.) and Oliver Daddario (Gloucester, Mass.) have been named the Horizon League Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of March 12 - 18.
Docherty opened his outdoor season at the Wake Forest Open and finished 1st out of 110 runners in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:52.26. The time is a personal best mark for the senior.
Fellow senior Daddario opened up his outdoor season in the javelin with a throw of 49.71m (163-01) at the Wake Forest Open. He broke his own school record by a foot with the toss.
Loyola will have a week off before returning to action on March 30 at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C.
