Epple Named To Soccer Buzz.com Team Of The Week

Detroit, Mich. - Fresh off of her MVP performance in the Horizon League Championship, junior defender Allison Epple has been selected to the Soccer Buzz.com Elite Team of the Week.

Epple is the second Titan to be honored with a selection to the team as sophomore mid-fielder and Horizon League Player of the Year Mary Parker (Troy, MI/Athens HS) was selected on Sept. 22 after her seven goal outburst against Niagara and Centenary in two Titan wins.

Epple keyed the Titan back line to three impressive wins over Youngstown St (2-1 OT), UW-Green Bay (3-0) and UW-Milwaukee (1-0) as Detroit won the Horizon League tournament on Epple's PK in semis and winning header in final.

Epple and the rest of the Titans take on the University of Michigan in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament today (Nov. 12) in Columbus, OH, at 4:30 p.m.
