INDIANAPOLIS -- Continuing its reputation as a leader in digital sports productions, the Horizon League will deliver over 200 live events on the ESPN3 platform this fall.
The complete schedule of events can be found on HorizonLeague.com or by searching on WatchESPN.
In 2014-15, Horizon League members delivered over 330 live, exclusive events on ESPN3, ESPN’s multi-screen sports network available in over 99 million households nationwide.
Since the launch of the first-to-market Horizon League Network in 2006, the League and its member institutions have delivered over 4,000 live events, spanning League championships to university commencements.
“We are proud to continue to demonstrate our long-term commitment to being a leader in the digital realm,” Horizon League Commissioner Jon LeCrone said. “Our institutions have made significant commitments to event production, and we look forward to showcasing the League’s remarkable students.”
Non-conference and League contests in women’s and men’s soccer and volleyball will be showcased this fall. As part of the League’s partnership with WebStream Sports, the Horizon League Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer and Volleyball Championships will all be available on ESPN3. International viewers will be able to watch on HorizonLeague.com as well.
ESPN3 is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 and Xbox One at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.
Regular-season Horizon League broadcasts will begin on Friday, Aug. 21 and continue through the League Volleyball Championship Nov. 20-22. Winter and spring sport schedules will be released later this year.
