2010 Men's Soccer Tournament Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS -- Coming down to the final two matches of the regular season, the Horizon League Men's Soccer Tournament field was set on Saturday night.  Now the action begins, as No. 3 Loyola hosts sixth-seeded Milwaukee on Tuesday night, while the four seed, Cleveland State, welcomes No. 5 Detroit to Krenzler Field.

Cleveland State (8-9-1) and Detroit (8-8-2) will kick off the evening's festivities at 7 p.m. ET and feature two of the Horizon League's top award winners of 2010.  Goalkeeper Brad Stuver leads the Vikings in net, having led CSU to a win over then-No. 1 Akron and backing up his performance by stopping all seven shots on frame in a 0-0 tie at No. 6 Butler last Friday.

The Titans counter with Ya Ya Toure, who earned League Newcomer of the Year honors after an 18-point performance in his first season in the Horizon League.  Toure's 8 goals tied for second in the conference, while his points total was third.  A year after finishing eighth in the Horizon, Detroit vaulted up the standings this season, led by Toure.

The two teams met on Oct. 15 in Detroit, with the Titans claiming a 2-0 victory.  Since that match, Cleveland State has gone 2-1-1, while the Titans went 2-2-1.  The contest can be seen live on HorizonLeague.com by clicking here.

One hour after Cleveland State and Detroit commence the postseason, Loyola (4-10-2) and Milwaukee (6-9-2) will square off in the night's second match.  Loyola won just four games in the regular season, but made them all count, as each victory came in League play.  Their final win was their most important, as the Ramblers came away with a 1-0 win at UIC to vault from sixth in the standings to the No. 3 seed.

Led by midfielder Willie Koss, a First Team All-Horizon selection, the Ramblers have been one of the most patient and defense-oriented teams in the Horizon League, scoring just nine goals in eight League games, but allowing just six in the same span.

Milwaukee enters the conference quarterfinal as the No. 6 seed, having matched Detroit's 4-4 League mark, but losing the tiebreaker.  Sophomore Andrew Wiedabach has led the Panthers' attack throughout the season, finishing the year with 13 points and earning First Team All-League honors, along with senior captain Greg Rosenthal.

The Panthers are one of the League's most battled-tested teams, entering Tuesday night's match having played in overtime nine times in 17 matches; their contest at Loyola was one of those matches, as a goal in the first overtime pushed Milwaukee past the Ramblers on Oct. 16.  The rematch can be watched live on HorizonLeague.com by clicking here.

Following the conclusion of the matches, the field of four will be reset, with the lowest remaining seed meeting No. 1 Butler at 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 12; the highest remaining seed will face off with No. 2 seeded Green Bay at 12 p.m. ET.  The Butler Bowl will serve as the host venue for the semifinals and championship, which is slated for a 1 p.m. ET kick on Sunday, Nov. 14.  All five matches will be carried live on HorizonLeague.com.
