Green Bay Defense Shines in 66-45 Victory Over Cleveland State
Green Bay’s defense frustrated Cleveland State in the Phoenix’s second Horizon League contest of the season, forcing a season-high 26 turnovers and collecting 17 steals, also a season high. Green Bay (12-2, 2-0) held CSU (3-10, 0-3) to 15-of-59 (25.4) from the field in tonight’s 66-45 victory at the Wolstein Center. Read more

Sophomore Brianne Cohen scored a career-high-tying 19 points and junior Rosanna Reynolds totaled 15 points and eight assists as the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team earned its first road win of the year in a 72-66 victory over host Valparaiso. Read more
Detroit Upends Crusaders Thursday Night
Despite leading for over 24 minutes of Thursday night's tilt versus Detroit, the Crusaders found themselves on the wrong end of a 72-66 contest when the scoreboard showed zeros. Jasmyn Walker (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores) squeezed a career-high 16 rebounds to go with 12 points while classmate Dani Franklin (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/George Washington) rallied the Crusaders in the scoring column with 19. Freshman Meredith Hamlet (McBain, Mich./McBain) pitched in 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including a 3-for-5 night beyond the arc. Read more
OAKLAND EDGES UIC FOR FIFTH CONSECUTIVE WIN, 78-76
Taylor Gleason posted a career-high in points (15) and assists (10) for her first career double-double to lead the Oakland women's basketball team (10-4, 2-1) to a 78-76 win at UIC on Thursday night. The Golden Grizzlies are riding a five-game win streak which is the best since the 2010-11 team which also won a season-high five consecutive games. Read more
