CHICAGO - A pair of former Loyola University Chicago men's basketball standouts are putting together big seasons in the professional ranks this year. Though in different parts of the world, David Bailey and Blake Schilbhave continued the excellent play they showcased during their collegiate careers as Ramblers.

Schilb is currently playing for ES Chalon Sur-Saone in France, where he is a teammate of former Michigan State guard Drew Neitzel and ranks ninth in the league in scoring with 15.5 points per game. In 26 contests, the 6-foot-7 forward is also contributing 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game, while shooting 53 percent (155-for-291) from the field and 84 percent from the foul line. In a 91-80 victory over Hyeres-Toulon on April 2, Schilb narrowly missed a triple-double when he registered 31 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

This summer, Schilb will participate in summer camp with the Los Angeles Clippers as he tries to achieve his dream of playing in the National Basketball Association.

Schilb finished his Loyola career ranked fourth on the school's career scoring list with 1,879 points and currently ranks 20th with 600 career rebounds, while also holding the school standard for three-point field goals made (204).

Bailey is achieving success with the Sioux Fall Skyforce in the NBA Development League, where in 48 regular-season games, he put up 13.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 6.6 apg and 1.3 spg, while hitting 41 percent (209-for-508) of his field goal attempts, 32 percent (51-for-158) of his three-point tries and 85 percent (153-for-181) of his foul shots.

Despite standing only 5-foot-8, the Chicago native still ranks third on Loyola's all-time list with 1,933 points and third with 580 assists.
