Former UW-Milwaukee Men's Soccer Standout Chad Dombrowski Signs Deal With The Milwaukee Wave

Milwaukee, Wis. - Former University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer standout Chad Dombrowski has signed a two-year deal with the Milwaukee Wave of the Major Indoor Soccer League Wave Head Coach Keith Tozer announced this week.

Dombrowski will be making his professional indoor soccer debut after playing the last two seasons for the Wave United in the A-League.

Dombrowski ended his four-year UWM career as one of the more decorated players in program history. A two-time, First-Team All-Horizon League selection, the West Allis native scored 24 career goals for the Panthers while leading UWM to NCAA Tournament berths in 2001 and 2002. Dombrowski was named a First-Team NSCAA All-Region performer in 2002 and a third-team pick in 2001.

One of five brothers to play for UWM, Dombrowski was drafted by the Wave as the eighth overall (territorial) pick in the 2003 MISL Draft. Dombrowski spent the last two seasons playing for the Wave United in the A-League where he scored nine goals and six assists in two seasons as a defender.

Dombrowski becomes the fourth Wisconsin native on the 2004-05 Wave roster, joining Dan Green (Waukesha), Joe Hammes (Cedarburg), Pat White (Milwaukee) and Matt Schmidt (Milwaukee). The Wave are currently 12-10 in the MISL, trailing first place Philadelphia by three games. Milwaukee advanced to the MISL championship last season before falling to Baltimore in three games.
