Hagen, Germany -- Former Youngstown State men's basketball standout Adam Baumann (Phoenix, Ariz.) has signed a contract to play professionally for Phoenix Hagen in Hagen, Germany. Baumann, who played for the Penguins the past two season after transferring from Yavapai Junior College, inked his contract last Friday with the organization.

Phoenix Hagen, a member of the Bundesliga German Basketball League, is located about 100 miles north of Frankfurt. Baumann arrived in Germany over the weekend and has begin working out with the team in preparation for the season which starts in October.

A third-team 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-American, Baumann averaged 12.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the Penguins as a senior. He shot 47.5 percent (117-of-156) from the field and 75 percent (117-of-156) from the free-throw line.
