In the most dramatic game of the day, No. 3 Cleveland State advanced into the Championship Game on Saturday, after defeating No. 5 Detroit under the lights on Friday evening at the Ashwaubenon Sports Complex in Green Bay, Wis.

With the game scoreless in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Viking's Jackie Cornelius sent the pitch over the fence in left center field for the game-winning home run.

Both teams had several chances in the contest to crack the scoring column, but CSU's Grace Luginbuhl and Detroit's Anna Ollgaard were both relentless in the circle.

Luginbuhl (16-12) picked up her third win of the tournament after fanning eight Titans and scattering seven hits. Ollgaard (8-7) finished with five strike outs, while giving up only six hits in eight innings of action.

With the loss, Detroit moves into the loser's bracket to face No. 2 UW-Green Bay, with a chance to play in the championship game against Cleveland State.
