INDIANAPOLIS -- Loyola junior Dylan Gergen and Youngstown State sophomore Samantha Formeck has been named Horizon League Golfer of the Week for the period of March 5-11.

Gergen placed 13th out of 82 individuals (75-68-78=221) at the Palmas Del Mar Intercollegiate in Humacao, Puerto Rico. The Ramblers (306-288-303=897) finished sixth in the 14-team event.

Gergen, a native of St. Paul, Minn., has now recorded four rounds under 70 this school year and has finished in the top 13 in four of the team's seven competitions in 2009-10.

Formeck placed eighth out of 62 golfers (78-80=158) at the Don Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla. The Penguins (331-329=660) finished fifth in the 11-team competition.

Formeck, a native of Northern Cambria, Pa., was one of three YSU players to finish in the top 15 of the Don Benbow Invite.
