INDIANAPOLIS - Loyola junior Dylan Gergen and Youngstown State senior Ryan Stocke have been named Horizon League Co-Golfers of the Week on the men's side, while Butler sophomore Michele Nash earns the weekly accolade for the period of April 7-13 on the women's side.
Gergen, a native of St. Paul, Minn., and Stocke, a native of Elida, Ohio, carded three-round totals of 220 on Saturday and Sunday at the UK Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
Gergen tallied rounds of 76, 71 and 73, while Stocke posted scores of 73, 74 and 75. The duo tied for 46th out of 128 golfers in the 24-team event.
Loyola (309-294-293=896) placed 19th, while Youngstown State (298-298-313=909) finished 22nd.
Nash, a native of Indianapolis, registered a 74-77=151 to place second out of 51 individuals on Sunday and Monday at the Loyola Invitational in Evanston, Ill.
Butler (327-319=646) recorded a second-place performance in the eight-squad competition.
