Horizon League Golfers of the Week

Men's Golf -- Jake Scott (Cleveland State)
Women's Golf -- Michele Nash (Butler)
INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State University senior Jake Scott and Butler University freshman Michele Nash have been named Horizon League Golfers of the Week for the period of Sept. 25-Oct. 7.
Scott, a native of Strongsville, Ohio, posted a 70-68-76=214 to place third at the Cleveland State Invitational in Avon, Ohio. The three-round total marked the Horizon League's second-best score this season and was just two shots from medalist honors at the tournament.
The Vikings carded a 296-283-303=882 to place third in the 14-team event. The second-round tally marked the league's second-best score this fall.
Nash, a native of Indianapolis, turned in a stroke average of 76.0 over four rounds during the stretch. She earned medalist honors at the Butler Fall Invitational Oct. 6-7 (72-76=148) after placing fifth at the IPFW Fall Classic Sept. 29-30 (76-80=156).
Nash's even par in round one of her first collegiate match at home marked the Horizon League's second-best score this season.
The Bulldogs carded a 304-309=613 to win their own 10-team event after turning in a 306-333=639 to finish second at IPFW's six-team tournament.
Scott's award is his second of the campaign, while a freshman has won all three league awards this fall.
