Men's Golf Athlete of the Week
BEN GRANDY

Cleveland State sophomore Ben Grandy is the Horizon League Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for the period ending
April 5.
Thanks to his low round of the spring (71), Grandy put himself in the top 20 at one over par following the first day of competition at the Belmont Invitational. He eventually finished in a tie for 32nd after a final round 77. He finished with a three-round total of 220 (72-71-77).
Women's Golf Athlete of the Week
NIKI GARDEN
Butler, Freshman, St. Albans, Mo.
Butler freshman Niki Garden is the Horizon League Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 5.
Garden paced the Bulldogs to a third-place finish at the Cincinnati/Dayton Women's Golf Invitational April 4-5 as she carded a two-round total of 163. She opened first-round play with an 80 at the Culvernook C.C. in Cincinnati and concluded the invite with an 83 at the Golf Course of Yankee Trace in Dayton.
Other Top Male Performers
Will Turner, Butler, Junior (Auburn, Ind.)
Turner finished tied for 12th place at the Cincinnati/Dayton Men's Golf Invitational April 4-5. In the opening round at the Culvernook C.C. in Cincinnati, Turner shot a 76, followed by an 81 the next day at the Golf Course at Yankee Trace in Dayton. His combined score of 157 led the Bulldogs to a 5th place finish in the event.
Sean Hutchinson, Detroit, Junior (Traverse City, Mich.)
Detroit junior Sean Hutchison tied a pair of teammates for 11th place individually at the rain-shortened Eastern Kentucky Invitational. Hutchison closed Friday's opening round with a three-under-par 33 on the back side and finished the day at 1-over 73. That was the only round completed as the rest of the tournament was rained out. The 73 was the best score posted by any Horizon League golfer in the field as the Titans went on to capture fifth place in the 16-team tournament.
Kyle Romig, Youngstown State, Sophomore (Green, Ohio)
Romig was the top Penguin finisher at the Draper Valley Invitational April 3-5 in Draper, Va. As he led YSU with a two-round total of 152 (72-80). Following Monday's first round, the Penguins were in third place with a 303, but after carding a 312 on Tuesday, dropped back to eighth with a 615. Western Carolina won the event with a 582.
Other Top Female Performers
Kristin Obush, Cleveland State, Junior (Indiana, Pa.)
Obush put posted consecutive rounds of 83 to finish in a tie for 10th at the UC/UD Invitational last week. The performance marked her fourth top-10 finish of the year.
