Gonzalez, Hearn Named Divers of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State’s Josh Gonzalez and Milwaukee’s Morgan Hearn are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week for Oct. 3-9.

Gonzalez, a senior from Brunswick, Ohio, earned diver of the week after placing first in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at the MSU Spartan Long Course Invitational. Gonzalez won the 1-meter event with a score of 296.25 and the 3-meter event with a score of 288.05.

Cleveland State returns to action Oct. 15 when it faces Niagara.

Hearn, a senior from Madison, Wis., is the first female diver of the week for the 2011-12 year. Hearn set new personal bests in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in her first event of the year. She had a score of 252.45 in the 1-meter dive to finish fourth and a score of 238.35 in the 3-meter dive to finish third.

Milwaukee returns to action Oct. 15 when it hosts Grand Valley State in Klotsche Natatorium.
