Two Horizon League women’s basketball teams cracked the CollegeInsider.com Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll that was announced on Tuesday (Nov. 30) with Green Bay sitting atop the ranks and Cleveland State coming in at No. 23.

Green Bay tallied 775 points and all 31 first place votes, while Cleveland State received 97 points in the voting.

The Phoenix (6-0) is making its mark all over the polls, ranked 21 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll, up two spots from last week, and No. 2 in the ESPN.com Mid-Major Top 10.  Green Bay also sits at 26th in the AP Top 25 poll, 16 points shy of the 25th spot.

The Vikings were sixth among the teams in the “Others Receiving Votes” section in last week’s poll, and at 5-1, they have marked the second best start through six games in CSU’s history.

The Mid-Major Poll consists of teams from the America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, and West Coast Conference.

The next poll will be released on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
