Green Bay Clinches First-Ever Horizon League Regular Season Title

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The Green Bay softball team clinches its first Horizon League regular season title in program history to take the No. 1 seed of the Championship. The Phoenix won two of three contests against Valparaiso in their final League series to finish with an 11-5 conference record.

Wright State (13-6) took the No. 2 seed, Valparaiso (11-8) is the No. 3, followed by Youngstown State (11-8) at No. 4, Cleveland State (8-8) as the No. 5 seed and UIC (8-10) rounding out the tournament field as the No. 6 seed. The Horizon League Championship seeds are determined by winning percentage in conference play.

The Horizon League Softball Championship begins Wednesday, May 7 and runs through Saturday, May 10 and will take place at the WSU Softball Field on the campus of Wright State University.
