Three Titans set or tied career-highs and five players scored in double figures as the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team cruised to an 85-65 win over visiting Valparaiso on Saturday at Calihan Hall. The Titans wore pink uniforms and shoes in their annual Pink Game to support the fight against cancer. Read more

Perimeter Attack Leads Titans to Win over Crusaders
In a game molded by runs, Detroit claimed an 85-65 win over the Valpo women's basketball team Saturday afternoon at Calihan Hall.

Jasmyn Walker (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores) scored the first two points of the game, and from there it was a series of elongated runs. Detroit embarked on a 7-0 surge only to be answered by a 6-0 Crusader blitz. Valpo rattled off a 7-0 run later in the opening period, but it was sandwiched between 8-0 and 6-0 Titan streaks. OAKLAND HOLDS OFF UIC IN ANNUAL PINK GAME, 78-73
Korrin Taylor provided a spark off the bench posting a career-high in points (13), free throws made (9) and rebounds (4) to lead Oakland (14-10, 6-7) over visiting UIC, 78-73, at the annual Pink Game on Saturday afternoon.

Olivia Nash led the Golden Grizzlies with 18 points with a career-high four steals while Taylor Jones added 14 points. Defensively, Oakland had 17 steals and 27 points off 25 UIC turnovers. Read more
