INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- After advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the second-consecutive season, No. 13/11 Green Bay will look to make it to the Sweet 16 for the first time in Phoenix history.  Thus far, no Horizon League women’s basketball team has made it past the second-round.

In order to make Horizon League and Green Bay history, the fifth-seeded Phoenix (33-1) will have to first get past fourth-seeded Michigan State (27-5) in Tuesday’s second round game in Wichita, Kansas.  Tipoff is scheduled for 9:40pm ET.

Green Bay advanced to the second round with a 59-55 win over 12th-seeded UALR on Sunday, while Michigan State downed 13th-seeded UNI to advance to Tuesday's second round.

This is the first time in Green Bay's 12 NCAA Tournament appearances that the Phoenix has advanced to the second round two years in-a-row.

Michigan State is the fourth Big Ten team Green Bay will face this season, the most in a single season for the Phoenix. Green Bay is 3-0 against its Big Ten opponents this year, defeating Minnesota, (79-75) Wisconsin (69-43) and Penn State (79-74).

The winner of Green Bay/Michigan State game will face either Baylor or West Virginia in Dallas, Texas.  The Baylor/West Virginia game will tip at 9:45pm ET tonight.
