The 20th-ranked Green Bay Phoenix learned Monday night they would be an 11-seed in the 2013 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and will face 6-seed LSU in the first round.

Green Bay’s game vs. LSU will be played on the Tigers home court, and will take place on Sunday, March 24 with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Green Bay, which enters the tournament winners of 24 consecutive games, finished the regular season with a 29-2 record and were the regular season and tournament champion of the Horizon League. The Phoenix, currently ranked 20th in both the coaches and media poll, opened the season ranked 25th in the coaches poll, the third consecutive season the Phoenix began the year ranked in either poll.

This marks Green Bay’s fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and their 14thoverall.

Green Bay has won at least one game in the NCAA Tournament each of the last three seasons. Last year, Green Bay defeated Iowa State on the Cyclones’ home court in the first round, before falling to 2-seed Kentucky in the second round.
