GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay women's basketball team has earned its highest ranking in school history after winning a Horizon League-record 34 consecutive regular-season games and posting a 16-0 mark this season. The Phoenix climbed three spots to No. 14 in Tuesday's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

The highest ranking Green Bay had previously received in the coaches poll was 17th on Jan. 13, 2003. Green Bay's highest ranking in the Associated Press Poll came in the same week when the team was No. 16.

Connecticut (18-0), Nebraska (16-0) and Green Bay (16-0) are the only three unbeaten teams in the country.

Green Bay ranks second in the country in assists per game (18.9), third in turnover margin (8.75), seventh in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.18), eighth in steals per game (12.9) and ninth in free-throw percentage (.767)

The Phoenix is averaging 73.5 points per game and outscoring its opponents by an average of 19.2.

Green Bay will be on the road this weekend in Chicago with match-ups against Loyola on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. ET followed by UIC on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The team will return to the Kress Center on Jan. 28 to face Butler at 8 p.m.
