INDIANAPOLIS - University of Wisconsin-Green Bay junior guard Rahmon Fletcher has been named the Horizon League Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 6.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., Fletcher averaged 26.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals as Green Bay opened League play last week with a pair of victories.

Fletcher scored a career-high 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting, including 4-of-7 on three-pointers, in Green Bay's 90-69 win over Loyola University Chicago Thursday. He then had 24 points on 9-of-15 from the floor as the Phoenix defeated the University of Illinois at Chicago 85-59 Saturday. For the week, he shot 59 percent (20-for-34) from the field and 73 percent (8-for-11) from the free-throw line.

Last week's performances moved Fletcher into second in the League in scoring with 17.2 points per game. He also ranks sixth in assists (3.4 apg) and fourth in steals (2.2 spg).
