INDIANAPOLIS -- Green Bay senior forward Jordan Fouse (Racine, Wis./Racine St. Catherine’s) has been named the Horizon League Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Detroit freshman guard Josh McFolley (Detroit, Mich./Detroit Western) has been named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week.

Fouse filled out the stat line in both of his performances last week for the Phoenix. He started the week with a career-high 22 points in Green Bay’s 87-69 win at SIUE. He shot 8-of-16 from the field, including 2-of-3 from long distance, while also recording six assists and a team-high four blocked shots in 31 minutes of play. During the game, Fouse also passed former teammate Alec Brown (800) for third place on Green Bay’s all-time career rebounding list. The Green Bay senior finished the week with 814 career rebounds.

On Sunday, Fouse posted his third double-double of the season, leading the Phoenix with 15 points and 13 rebounds in GB’s last second loss to Toledo. Fouse connected on a career-high three triples in the contest and added three assists and five steals.

For the week, Fouse scored 37 points, corralled 19 points, passed out nine assists and recorded five steals and five blocked shots, while committing just three turnovers in 63 minutes of action.

For the season, Fouse leads the Horizon League in rebounding (10 rpg.) and ranks second in steals (2.1 spg.)

Green Bay (4-4) does not play a game this week. The Phoenix is back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 15 when it hosts Pacific.

McFolley garnered Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season after averaging 15.5 points per game in Detroit’s two contests last week. On Saturday, McFolley scored a season-high and team-best 20 points in the Titans 76-73 win over a Northeastern team that was receiving votes in the Associated Press poll. He went 8-for-15 from the field against the Huskies, knocking down 4-of-6 attempts from three-point range. He added two rebounds, one assist and one steal. In Wednesday’s game at 13th-ranked Vanderbilt, McFolley scored 11 points.

The Titan freshman leads all Horizon League freshman in scoring this season, averaging 13.6 points per game.

Detroit (3-3) has two home games at Calihan Hall this week. The Titans host Toledo on Wednesday before closing the week with a Saturday afternoon contest against Bowling Green.

Top Performers for the Week:
Jalen Billups, Northern Kentucky
(Sr., F) - Billups recorded his first double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Eastern Illinois. Billups had 20 points and seven rebounds at North Carolina A&T earlier in the week. In the two games, Billups connected on 15-of-23 field goal attempts.
Matt Donlan, Youngstown State (Jr., F) - Donlan averaged 15.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last week for the Penguins. He led YSU with 18 points, knocking down five three-pointers in the win over Robert Morris on Wednesday.
Max Hooper, Oakland (Sr., G) - Hooper set and then reset his career-highs in points and three-pointers made last week. He hit seven three-pointers and scored 21 points in Oakland’s loss at Georgia on Tuesday. On Saturday, he hit eight three-pointers, scoring 24 points in the Golden Grizzlies win at Robert Morris, 92-74.
Chris Jenkins, Detroit (Jr., G) - Jenkins tallied 11 points and a career-high four steals at 13th-ranked Vanderbilt on Wednesday. He scored 14 points and posted a team-best six rebounds in the win over Northeastern on Saturday.
Jordan Johnson, Milwaukee (Jr., G) - Johnson stuffed the stat sheet in Milwaukee’s 64-51 win over SIUE. He scored 10 points, while also grabbing seven rebounds and passing out a game-high seven assists in 39 minutes of action.
Michael Karena, Wright State (Sr., F) - Karena led the Raiders with 17 points off-the-bench in the win over Albion. For the week, he connected on 10-of-19 field goal attempts.
Alec Peters, Valparaiso (Jr., F) - Peters scored 14 of his team-high 17 points in the second half as the Crusaders defeated Belmont, 61-57. He added five rebounds, three assists and a steal in the win.
Vinny Zollo, Cleveland State (Sr., F) - Zollo averaged 12.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in CSU’s two games last week. He recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds versus Kent State on Saturday.

Top Freshmen for the Week:
Anthony Brown, Green Bay
(Fr., G) - Brown has worked his way into the starting lineup for Green Bay. In two games last week, he scored seven points, passed out five assists and had four rebounds in 26 minutes of play.
Dikembe Dixson, UIC (Fr., F) - Dixson scored a career-high 22 points at Central Florida on Saturday, scoring 20 points in the second half. For the week, he averaged 15.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
Rob Edwards, Cleveland State (Fr., G) - Edwards averaged 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in CSU’s two games last week. He had 15 points and three steals at Toledo on Wednesday night and had 14 rebounds and four rebounds against Kent State on Saturday.
