INDIANAPOLIS -- Green Bay junior forward Heidi Hartmann (Plymouth, Minn.) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Valparaiso sophomore goalkeeper Sydney Galvez-Daley (Chicago, Ill.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 18-24. The award is the first of both players’ careers.

Green Bay (1-1) opened the season with a 3-1 win over IUPUI. The Phoenix were already out to a 1-0 lead when Hartmann notched her first goal of the season. The junior forward raced past the Jaguar defense to score in the ninth minute to give GB a 2-0 lead. In the second half with Green Bay’s lead cut to one, Hartmann delivered on a penalty kick to give the Phoenix a 3-1 advantage.

Hartmann now has scored five goals in her career with Green Bay and Friday was her first multi-goal game with the Phoenix.

Galvez-Daley recorded her first career shutout on Sunday as the Crusaders finished in a scoreless draw with IUPUI. The sophomore goalkeeper had four stops in the contest. For the weekend, Galvez-Daley had seven saves and a League-best 0.90 goal against average.

Green Bay is back in action this week with home contests against Northern Iowa on Friday and North Dakota on Sunday. Valparaiso will head west for the second weekend of play, taking on Grand Canyon in Phoenix, Ariz., on Friday and Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Ariz., on Sunday.

Top Offensive Performers for the Week:
Jasmin Carrera, UIC (So., F) - Carrera scored UIC’s lone goal of the weekend and leads the team in shots after two games with six.
Bryce Hueber, Wright State (Fr., M) - Scored the lone WSU goal in 2-1 loss to Louisville.
Sarrah Ludwig, Valparaiso (Jr., M/F) - Ludwig tied the match against Belmont in the 62nd minute with her fourth career goal.

Top Defensive Performers for the Week:
Kelly Fritz, UIC (Fr., GK) - Posted 10 saves over the weekend.
Brittany Tenis, Youngstown State (Sr., D) - Tenis scored her first career goal and the Penguins first goal of the 2014 season against Vermont on Sunday. She was named to the TD Bank Classic All-Tournament team.
