INDIANAPOLIS - University of Wisconsin-Green Bay junior midfielder JC Banks has been named Horizon League Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the period of Sept. 7-13. It is Banks' second honor in as many weeks.

A native of Milwaukee Wis., Banks had two goals and three assists last week as Green Bay extended its season-opening unbeaten string to five (4-0-1) and its winning streak to four with three victories on the road.

Banks began the week with two goals and an assist in a 5-1 victory at Western Michigan University. He then assisted on the lone goal in a 1-0 win Friday at the University of Pittsburgh and again on the insurance goal in a 2-0 shutout Sunday at Robert Morris University.

Banks currently leads the League with four assists and is tied for the top spot with three goals. He also is tied for 20th in the nation with 2.0 points per match.

Green Bay will put its unbeaten streak on the line when the Phoenix travels to the West Coast to face San Diego State University this Friday.
