INDIANAPOLIS -- Green Bay seniorJulie Wojta and Detroit’s Shareta Brown are the Horizon League Women’s Co-Basketball Players of the Week, for the period from Jan. 2-Jan. 8, after each player had career days in leading their teams to road victories.

Wojta set a school and conference record with 12 steals on Saturday afternoon during Green Bay’s 88-53 win over in-state rival Milwaukee. The 12 steals tie for the most in NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball this season. The First-Team Preseason All-Conference selection had 11 steals in the first half as #17/14 Green Bay raced out to a 47-21 lead over Milwaukee. Wojta also contributed 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting for her seventh double-double of the season.

Brown had a career-high 31 points on Saturday as Detroit defeated Loyola, 76-66 on the road. The 31 points are the most by a Horizon League player this season. Brown was 10-of-14 from the field and 11-of-14 from the free throw line in the game. The freshman also had 11 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.

Other Top Performers for the Week:

Devin Brierly, Butler (Sr., G) - Brierly averaged 16.0 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game last week as the Bulldogs went 2-0. She shot 52.2 percent (12-23) from the field, including 58.3 percent (7-12) from three-point range.

Shaunda Sandifer, Wright State (Sr., F) - Sandifer averaged 13.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game last week as the Raiders won both of their games on the road. She had 23 rebounds in the Raiders win over Loyola.

Shalonda Winton, Cleveland State (Jr., F) - Winton averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game last week as the Vikings went 1-1.

Patrice King, Loyola (Jr., G) - King averaged 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game last week. She had 25 points and seven rebounds against Wright State and tied a Loyola single-game record by going 12-for-12 from the free throw line against Detroit.

Brandi Brown, Youngstown State (Jr., F) - Brown averaged a double-double last week, averaging 16.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game in the Penguins’ two games.

Tabitha Gerardot, Valparaiso (So., F) - Gerardot averaged 17.5 points per game last week for the Crusaders. She led the team in scoring with 16 against Cleveland State and 19 against Youngstown State.

Courtney Lindfors, Milwaukee (Jr., F) - Lindfors had her third double-double of the season last week, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the Panthers game against Green Bay.
