INDIANAPOLIS – Green Bay sophomore guard Adrian Ritchie (De Pere, Wis.) has been named Horizon League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the week beginning Nov. 8.
Ritchie received the honor after averaging 19 points per game through two contests, leading Green Bay to its third 2-0 start on the road in the last four seasons under head coach Matt Bollant.
The sophomore started her first collegiate game scoring 24 points in a season-opening 75-51 win over George Washington on Saturday and 13 points, including a clutch three-pointer, in Green Bay’s 79-75 victory against Big Ten foe Minnesota on Sunday.Named Tournament MVP of the inaugural Best Buy Classic, Ritchie recorded nine assists, five rebounds, three steals and one block in 70 minutes of play.
Green Bay will face another Big Ten opponent on Thursday when it hosts Wisconsin at 8 p.m. ET.
