INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State University junior Beth Greulich and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee junior Lauren Felsing have been named Horizon League Volleyball Players of the Week for the period of Oct. 6-12.

A native of Troy, Ohio, Greulich earns Offensive Player of the Week honors after ranking among Horizon League leaders in hitting percentage (2nd, .352), kills per set (2nd, 3.82) and points per set (3rd, 4.36). She was the conference's only individual to place in the top three of all three categories last week.

Greulich helped Cleveland State to a pair of wins last week -- a 3-0 blanking of Youngstown State on Tuesday (25-19, 25-21, 25-20) and 3-1 decision over Green Bay on Saturday (25-22, 16-25, 25-21, 25-13). The outside hitter tallied a team-best 42 kills and 11 blocks for the week.

The Vikings, 4-13 overall and 3-5 in league play, are now just two matches out of second place after starting the campaign 2-12. CSU was picked preseason No. 1 after winning the league crown in 2007.

A native of Hartland, Wis., Felsing picks up Defensive Player of the Week accolades after collecting a Horizon League-best 103 digs during four matches last week. She is now tied for first on the league's digs chart with 414 this season.

Felsing helped Milwaukee to four wins last week -- a 3-0 blanking of YSU (25-14, 25-21, 31-29), four-set decisions over Loyola (18-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-23) and Cleveland State (25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 25-21), and five-set thriller over UIC (25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 15-12).

Felsing tallied at least 19 digs in all four victories. The libero has now reached double-figure digs in 44 straight matches, which ties for the fourth-best active streak in the nation.

The Panthers, 14-5 overall, continue to top the league standings at 7-1. UWM is now 96-8 in October over the last 11-plus seasons and has won 16 of its last 18 league matches on the road.

Cleveland State travels to UIC on Friday (8 p.m. ET) and Loyola on Saturday (5 p.m.), while Milwaukee hosts Wright State on Saturday (5 p.m.).
