INDIANAPOLIS - Cleveland State senior Ryan Hamning and Butler junior Gabriella Bobrowski have been named Horizon League Tennis Players of the Week for the period of Jan. 25-31.

Hamning, a native of Middletown, Ohio, helped Cleveland State go 2-1 over the weekend. He posted two wins at No. 3 singles against Xavier (6-3, 6-4) and Duquesne (6-4, 7-6), and another victory at No. 2 singles over Robert Morris (6-2, 6-2). Hamning also paired with Phil Orno at No. 1 doubles to register an 8-2 win over Duquesne.

Bobrowski, a native of Niles, Ill., went 4-0 on the weekend with two wins at No. 1 singles and two more at No. 1 doubles. She recorded a 6-0, 6-3 victory against IUPUI on Saturday and a 6-3, 6-4 win at Illinois State on Sunday. Bobrowski also teamed with Brittany Farmer to register an 8-5 win over IUPUI and an 8-3 triumph at Illinois State.

The Cleveland State men return to action on Saturday when they travel to Niagara. The Butler women are idle until Feb. 19 when they host Cincinnati.
