Heger, Margis Named Divers of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS -- Milwaukee’s K.J. Heger and Rachel Margis are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Diver of the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.

 

Heger, who competed for just the third time in the fall after suffering an injury at the beginning of the season, finished fourth out of 17 competitors in the 1-meter dive at the Iowa Hawkeye Invitational. Heger scored a 300.10 in the event, just missing his season-best score on the 1-meter. Heger also competed in the 3-meter dive, scoring a 241.70.

 

Margis, a freshman from Racine, Wis., won the first diver of the week award of her career after competing against 35 other divers at the Hawkeye Invitational. Margis, the top Milwaukee diver at the event, scored a 258.50 in the 3-meter dive to finish in 12th place out of 34 divers and scored a 222.95 in the 1-meter diving event.
