INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State junior Jake Hibberd and Youngstown State senior Phil Klein have been named Horizon League Baseball Players of the Week for the period of March 14-20.

Hibberd picked up Batter of the Week accolades for the first time this season after going 6-for-13 (.462) with four RBIs and two runs in three games over the weekend. He also registered a .846 slugging percentage and .533 on-base percentage for the Raiders.

The infielder, a native of Miamisburg, Ohio helped Wright State go 2-1 at Southeast Missouri last week.

Klein notched Pitcher of the Week honors for the first time this season after helping the Penguins pick up a 7-1 win over Toledo on Sunday. He allowed just one run and three hits in eight innings.

The right-hander, a native of Gahanna, Ohio, carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and didn’t allow a base-runner until the fifth, striking out a career-high 13 of the 29 batters he faced.

Wright State will face Xavier on Tuesday, while Youngstown State will play Penn State-Behrend.  Both games are scheduled for 3pm ET.
