INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State’s Justin Hill and Milwaukee’s Diana Diel are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week for Jan. 28-Feb. 3.
Hill, a senior from Barea, Ohio, won both his individual events and helped lead CSU to a relay win in the Vikings’ dual-meet win at UIC on Saturday. Hill won the 50-freestyle (:20.92) and the 100-freestyle (45.98) and swam the opening leg - (:46.11 split) - for CSU’s 400-freestyle relay team which won in a time of 3:04.83.
Diel, a junior from Delafield, Wis., won two individual events in Milwaukee’s dual-meet win over Green Bay on Saturday. She won the 100-freestyle in a time of :52.65 and the 200-freestyle in 1:54.42. She won the 200-freestyle by nearly two seconds and now has nine individual wins on the season. She also swam on UWM’s 400-freestyle relay team which took home first place in a time of 3:31.79.
