Men's Soccer Falls in Overtime at Northern Kentucky -- Box Score
The Wright State men's soccer team led 3-1 with just under 17 minutes remaining, only to see Northern Kentucky rally with three goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to pull out a 4-3 decision Tuesday night at the NKU Soccer Stadium.
Peguy Ngatcha provided the Raiders with that early goal at the 1:59 mark as the sophomore forward took advantage of a clear by Northern Kentucky off a corner from Eric Lynch. It was Ngatcha's third goal of the season, all coming over the last four matches. Read more
Taublieb’s First Goal Lifts Crusaders in Overtime Thriller -- Box Score
The theme for this year’s Valparaiso men’s soccer team has been suffocating defense and overtime games, and it was the same tonight as the Crusaders defeated Loyola in overtime, 1-0.
The hero this time was senior captain Zev Taublieb (Malibu, Calif./Agoura), who pounced on a rebound off of Ramblers goalkeeper Tim Dobrowolski in the 95h minute for his first goal of the season to send the Crusaders home with the victory. Classmate Nick Suker (Downers Grove, Ill./South) earned the assist after his initial shot was stopped by Dobrowolski. Read more
Panthers Retain LeWang Cup After Settling For 2-2 Draw -- Box Score
MILWAUKEE - Freshmen Petter Ingebrigtsen and Andy Chmielewski scored goals to give the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team a second-half lead, but could not hold on in settling for a 2-2 tie against Northern Illinois University Tuesday night at Engelmann Stadium.
The Panthers (3-4-1) struck first in a wild second-half against the Huskies (2-3-3) that featured all four goals and 22 combined shots. Despite a 5-2 advantage in chances in the overtime sessions, Milwaukee ended up retaining possession of the LeWang Trophy with the deadlock. Read more
