OAKLAND AT DETROIT -- Metro Series
Last Time Out--
Oakland: The Golden Grizzlies battled against UIC at home in a double-overtime match for their first conference game of the season. Oakland tied last year’s regular season champion, 1-1, after out-shooting the Flames throughout the match. Matt Rickard scored the game-tying goal in the second half for the Golden Grizzlies on a chip right over the goalkeeper.
Detroit: The Titans faced Wright State at home Saturday afternoon and defeated the Raiders, 2-1. Detroit was down a goal going into the second half but surged offensively to collect two goals in the remaining 45 minutes of play. Sophomore Adam Clauss notched his second goal of the year to tie the match and minutes later freshman Don Nakashima scored the game-winner on a rebounded shot off the post.

BELMONT AT WRIGHT STATE
Last Time Out--
Wright State: The Raiders fell to Detroit, 2-1, on the road in their first Horizon League match of the year. Wright State led at the half from senior Emeka Onoye’s first goal of the season on a header off the post following a free kick. The Raiders, however, could not hold off the Titans’ attack in the second half and allowed two goals.
Belmont: The Bruins made their Horizon League debut against Valparaiso at home last Friday. Belmont was defeated by the Crusaders, 2-1, despite a second-half goal by Diego Figueroa to put them within one of a tie.
What Happened Last Year--

VALPARAISO AT UIC
Last Time Out--
Valparaiso: The Crusaders took the road for their first League match of the season and defeated conference newcomer Belmont, 2-1. Valparaiso ignited its offense early off of a goal from senior Zev Taublieb in the 14th minute marking his second on the year. To close out the first half, junior Jacob Gandarilla netted his first goal of the season from the left side of the box. The 2-0 lead at half proved to be enough for the Crusaders to collect their first League win in as many games.
UIC: The Flames traveled to Rochester, Mich. to take on Oakland in a Friday night match. After taking an early lead in the 27th minute, UIC allowed a goal in the second half en route to a 1-1 double-overtime draw with the Golden Grizzlies. The lone goal for the Flames was scored by freshman Jose Fuentes on a cross from senior Jesus Torres. The goal marks Fuentes’ second goal of the season and first in League play.
What Happened Last Year--
UIC notched a 2-1 victory over Valparaiso last year in a come-from-behind win. Aris Zafeiratos scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute to extend the Flames win streak at that time to six games. UIC leads the all-time series 18-3-2 against Valparaiso.
MILWAUKEE AT GREEN BAY -- Chancellor’s Cup

Milwaukee: The Panthers opened League play at home against Cleveland State but fell to the Vikings, 3-1. Milwaukee got down 2-0 in the first half but notched its lone goal of the match off a penalty kick in the 52nd minute.
