The Horizon League Network will produce free video web casts of at least eight games of this week's Horizon League Softball Championship, Will Roleson, Associate Commissioner for Communications and Multimedia, announced Thursday (May 10) All games will be streamed live from Viking Field on the campus of Cleveland State University.


HLN programming is available on the League's official web site at www.horizonleague.org.


The HLN softball web casting schedule begins Friday (May 11) with games at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1, 4, 6 and 8 p.m. ET in the double-elimination tournament. Action continues Saturday (May 12) with games at 9 a.m. and noon ET. Any games played Sunday (May 13), including a winner-take-all championship game or other games pushed due to weather or time, also will be shown live at times to be announced.


Play-by-play duties will be shared among Josh Rattray, Al Pawlowski, Rick Balazs and Dave Wilson. The softball sports information directors of the teams participating in each game will provide color commentary.


The Horizon League Network has produced live video web casts of more than 225 games already during the 2006-07 academic year, including nearly 200 regular-season men's and women's basketball games plus parts of the men's and women's soccer and volleyball championships. In addition, all games of the 2007 Horizon League Baseball Championship will be streamed later this month from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
