Men and Women's Swimming and Diving Cruise Past Gannon-- Results
CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland State men and women's swimming and diving team hosted Gannon Friday afternoon at the Busbey Natatorium.

The men and women had outstanding days as they both defeated Gannon. The men won 176-108, while the women won 159-117.

For the men, Danny Roberts and Rhys Robbins started off the day with the 3-meter diving event. Roberts score was 319.88 and Robbins finished with 196.05. Roberts (350.47) and Robbins (200.62) also competed in the 1-meter diving event. The men's 200-yard medley relay team started off the swimmers day with a first place time of 1:36.57.  Nathan Grant placed first in the 200 yard-freestyle with a time of 1:44.81 in a close race. Jonathon LaValle won the 100-yard backstroke with a finishing time of 53.23 and the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:56.52. Adam Ingledew finished in a close second with a time of 54.71. Philipp Sikatzki (59.49) and Gage Alleman (59.61) had a 1-2 finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. Sikatzki also won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.04. Robert Tolson finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.64. Ingledew placed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.24.  The men finished off the day with a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:24.21. Read more

Green Bay Swimming and Diving Dominates at Valparaiso-- Results
GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay swimming and diving teams wrapped up their second meet, in as many days, in Indiana today, with both squads prevailing over host Valparaiso in Horizon League dual action. The women’s squad claimed victories in nine of the 11 events, routing the Crusaders 127-72. The men did not break the mold of successful performances and bested the women’s squad by one event, claiming 10 of the meet’s 11 events, defeating league-foe Valparaiso 121-71.

Stephanie Garvin (West Chicago, Ill.) continued her winning ways this afternoon, touching the wall first in another two individual events. Garvin claimed victory in the 1000 free (10:43.12) for the second time in the road trip to Indiana, and showed off her versatility by adding a win in the 100 free (54.10) to her meet resume. Swimming Drops Dual to Green Bay
The Valparaiso swimming teams dropped a dual meet Friday against Horizon League foe Green Bay at the ARC pool. The women lost 127-72, while the men fell 121-71.

Dani Gomez Barrientos (Mexico City, Mexico/Grandview Prep. [Fla.]) continued her stellar freshman campaign as she set the fourth fastest time in Valpo history in the women’s 200 yard IM, taking home first place in 2:12.32, and set the tenth fastest time for a Crusader ever in the 100 yard butterfly (59.85). She also swam the freestyle leg of the 200 yard medley relay that finished in third (1:56.32). Read more

Freshmen Strong Again in Dual With Akron-- Results
Youngstown State freshman Viktoria Orosz won two individual events and was part of a winning relay as the Penguins hosted the Akron Zips on Friday evening at the Beeghly Natatorium.

Orosz took the top spot in the 200-yard freestyle (1:53.75) by five seconds, and she won the 500 free (5:07.18) by more than 11 seconds. The freshman also teamed up with Jana Janson, Chelsea Malone and Kolbrun Jonsdottir to win the 200 free relay after Akron's top group was disqualified. Read more

Oakland Women Cruise, Men Rally to Win Winter Invite-- Results
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Patricia Aschan was a three-time individual winner for the women Saturday while the men's 400 freestyle relay teams outscored Kenyon College as both the Oakland women's and men's swimming and diving teams won their four-team winter invitational at the Oakland Aquatics Center.

The Oakland women, aided by five individual wins and a relay victory on Saturday, cruised to a 146-point win over Cincinnati, 971-825. The men's squad was also bolstered by five individual victories and culminated the meet with its win in the 400 free relay to edge Kenyon College, 830-822.5. Read more

Panthers Win Three Events In Narrow Loss To Northwestern-- Results
Evanston, Ill. – The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming & diving team won three events in a narrow 137-98 loss to Big Ten power Northwestern at the Norris Aquatics Center Friday night.

"It was great to get back out there and compete after about six weeks without a meet," Milwaukee head coach Kyle Clements said. "The men started fast and finished even faster. It was great to finally be able to add Max Gatzke to our official roster. He's a great addition. He'll add some great depth in our distance events and we'll be a faster team with him on our roster, which was evident today." Read more

Margis Shines Against Big Ten Power Wildcats-- Results 
Evanston, Ill. – Junior Rachel Margis won a pair of events to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming & diving team in a hard-fought, 153-81 loss to Big Ten power Northwestern from the Norris Aquatics Center Friday night.

"It was great to get back out there and compete after about six weeks without a meet," Milwaukee head coach Kyle Clements said. "The women started a little slow and had to shake a little bit of the rust off but they finished very strong and there were plenty of strong times that we put forward today." Read more

UIC Eases Past Valpo In the Pool-- Results
CHICAGO - The UIC swimming and diving program competed on Saturday and defeated the Valparaiso Crusaders inside the Flames Natatorium. The men won with a final score of 171.5-115.5 and the women followed suit, 162-115.

The men's swimmers finished with a total of nine individual victories. Sebastian Ostrowski led the way with two of his own coming in the 100 back (51.00) and 200 IM (1:56.07). Read more

Swimming Drops Horizon League finale against UIC
The Valparaiso swimming teams fell in a dual meet to UIC on Saturday in their final Horizon League meet of the season in Chicago, Ill. The men lost 171.5-115.5, while the women fell 162-115.

Flavia Segatto (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Charles W. Flanagan) led the Crusaders as she scored in four events. She took home first place in the women’s 500 yard freestyle (5:18.47), finished second in the 1000 yard freestyle (10:59.99) and 200 yard IM (2:20.90) and placed third in the 200 yard butterfly (2:13.83). Lucchesi’s Record Sends Seniors Out With A Bang-- Results
MILWAUKEE – Mike Lucchesi, Kenny Stelpflug and K.J. Heger all won two events each in the final home meet of their careers to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming & diving team to an emphatic 183-113 win over the University of Chicago Saturday afternoon from the Klotsche Natatorium.

MILWAUKEE – Three seniors teamed up to win five events and post eight top-three results overall for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming & diving team in a convincing win over the University of Chicago Saturday afternoon on senior day from the Klotsche Natatorium.
