Women's Swimming Defeats Niagara | Men's Swimming Earns Win Over Niagara -- Results

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued the 2014-15 season at the Vikings first home meet of the season against Niagara University at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium on Friday afternoon.

The men's team won with a 160-73 decision, while the women also beat the Purple Eagles, 149.5-86.5. Read more

Women's Swimming Split Against Youngstown State and Valparaiso | Men's Swimming Wins Second Straight -- Results 

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued the 2014-15 season with their second meet of the weekend. The Viking men faced off against Valparaiso, while the women went against Valparaiso and Youngstown State at the Robert F. Busbey Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.

The men and women's team beat Valparaiso, but the women fell to Youngstown State.

Crusaders Drop Dual Meets At Cleveland State -- Results

The Valparaiso men’s and women’s swimming teams traveled to Cleveland State for a Saturday afternoon meet. The men fell to the Vikings, while the women finished behind Youngstown State and the hosts.

Senior Gonzalo Castro Diaz (Mexico City, Mexico) led the way for the men with a pair of victories and a runner-up finish. He swept the men’s 100 (52.05) and 200 yard butterfly (1:54.63) while posting a 4:12.15 in the 400 yard IM to finish second. He broke his personal best in the 200 butterfly by nearly three-quarters of a second, good for second-best all-time at Valpo. He also helped the 400 yard medley relay team to a third place finish in 3:34.44, the eight-best time in program history. Read more

Penguins Earn Wins Over Cleveland State and Valparaiso -- Results

Cleveland, Ohio - The Youngstown State swimming and diving team earned impressive wins over Cleveland State and Valparaiso on Saturday afternoon at the Busby Natatorium.

YSU won both relays, nine swimming events and one diving in a complete team performance. Freshmen Viktoria Orosz and Madison Arana along with senior Ashley Dow each won three events. Read more

Oakland Defeats UIC, Falls at Northwestern in Double Dual -- Results 

EVANSTON, Ill. -​ Aleksander Danielewski had three individual wins while Tricia Grant and Takara Martin were two-time winners on the women's side for Oakland at Saturday's double dual against Northwestern and UIC, hosted by Northwestern.

The Oakland men defeated UIC 169-124 and dropped a 155-134 dual to Northwestern. For the women, the Golden Grizzlies defeated UIC 204-93 and were bested by the Wildcats 180-111. Read more

Swimming & Diving Falls Short to Northwestern and Oakland -- Results 

EVANSTON, Ill. - The UIC swimming and diving teams were unable to overcome both Northwestern and Oakland in a dual meet Saturday. The men's squad (0-3, 0-2 HL) fell 179-112 to the Wildcats and 169-124 to the Golden Grizzlies. The women (1-2, 1-1 HL) came up short to Northwestern (211-86) and Oakland (204-93).

The highlight of the day for the Flames came in the men's 200 yard butterfly as junior Kei Ishimaru won the heat with a time of 1:50.77. Ishimaru was followed closely by teammate junior Ryota Kuwahara, who touched the wall at 1:52.76 in third place. Read more

Divers Conclude Busy Weekend at Clarion Invitational

Clarion, Pa. - Youngstown State's divers concluded a busy weekend by participating in the 23-diver Clarion Invitational on Sunday. YSU was in action yesterday at Cleveland State.

In the one-meter dive, freshman McKenzie Stelter led the way by finishing second with a score of 259.70. Just behind Stelter was sophomore Lydia Scheringer who scored a 257.70. Other finishers in the event for the Penguins were Baily Dipman who was 10th with a 207.70 and Megan Siford was 16th at 184.55. Read more
