Oakland had four players in double-figures with Olivia Nash (25), Taylor Jones (20), Elena Popkey (16) and Taylor Gleason (16) accounting for 77 points as the Golden Grizzlies snapped a three-game losing skid with a 87-77 win over Valparaiso on Thursday. Read more
Franklin, Hamlet Spearhead Second-Half Surge, but Crusaders Fall at Oakland
Dani Franklin (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/George Washington) and Meredith Hamlet (McBain, Mich./McBain) turned in record-setting offensive performances Thursday afternoon, but a turnover-laced first half made a late Crusader comeback attempt too tall of an order. The underclassmen combined for 47 points on 17-of-29 shooting, but Oakland prevailed in an 87-77 contest at the Athletics Center O'rena. Read more
Lindstrom's Double-Double Lifts Green Bay to 20th win
Sophomore forward Jessica Lindstrom scored 13 points and collected a career-high 17 rebounds as Green Bay held Youngstown State to just 20.4 percent (10-of-49) from the field to collect its 20th win of the season over the Penguins, 69-35, on Thursday night at the Kress Center. With the victory, Green Bay has now won at least 20 games in 17-straight seasons dating back to 1999-2000. Read more
