McKinsie Klim Wins Title at Tommy Evans Invitational -- Results

Akron, Ohio - Youngstown State sophomore McKinsie Klim took first place at the 46th annual Tommy Evans Invitational held at Akron's Firestsone Metro Park on a warm Thursday night. Austin McLean led the men with a seventh-place finish.

Klim posted an impressive time of 18:35 to win by six seconds ahead of Kent State's Kelsey McAlpine. Michelle Klim was the second-best finisher for the Penguins placing sixth with a time of 18:59. Read more

Richardson, Bloy Pace Crusaders at Opening Meet 

The Valparaiso men’s and women’s cross country teams opened their seasons with the 26th annual Crusader Open at Sunset Hills Farm. Tonight’s race marked the 21st straight year the Brown and Gold have opened with this meet.

In the women’s 4K, senior Jessica Richardson (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) ran a strong race, finishing in second place with a time of 13:05.09, just under six seconds behind Western Michigan’s Maria McDaniel. Sophomore Liz Bloy (Freedom, Wis./Freedom) also impressed with a 13:54.8 as she finished in eighth. The women finished in third. Read more

Holt Records Personal-Best Time As Vikings Place Fourth At Titan Invitaitonal -- Results

NORTHVILLE, Mich. – Behind three sub 20-minute 5K marks, the Cleveland State cross country team placed fourth at the 2014 Running Fit – Detroit Titan Invitational Saturday morning. The Vikings earned 116 points, finishing just one place behind Detroit, and beating Oakland – both Horizon League opponents.

"We collectively had an awesome race today," head coach Joe Jaketic said. "Tori ran the best time of her career, and we had two other runners also break 20 minutes, which is just fantastic. Everyone looked relaxed throughout the race, and they all improved from last week. The entire team is once again looking forward to the next race, and we are going to work extremely hard in practice this week and hope to continue improving week-after-week." Read more

Kendell Paces UDM At 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational -- Results

NORTHVILLE, Mich. (9/6/2014) – Freshman Ben Kendell was in the top 10 for the second-straight week as the men's cross country team hosted the 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational on Saturday at Cass Benton Park.

"Overall, a great day of cross country," said Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Guy Murray '89. "Everything pulled together nicely after some doubts with those storms going through last night. It is truly is a team effort that makes this event great and the Titan track & field student athletes do great work on the meet management effort." Read more

Titans Take Third At 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational -- Results

NORTHVILLE, Mich. (9/6/2014) -- Senior Zeinab Baydoun recorded a career best in the 5k and the Titans claimed third as the red, white and blue hosted the 28th Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational on Saturday morning at Cass Benton Park.

Detroit totaled 93 points, behind only Wayne State (58) and Bucknell (15). The victorious Bison are coached by Titan alum and former track and field and cross country coach Kevin Donnor, who started the women's program in 1984. Read more
