The Horizon League has announced Youngstown State’s Chad Zallow and Ryan Booth as Men’s Runner and Field Athlete of the Week.

Chad Zallow/Youngstown State/Sophomore/Sprints/Warren, Ohio

Chad Zallow took home an historic first place finish at the Pepsi Florida Relays over this past weekend. With a time of 13.37 seconds, Zallow finished 1st/61 in the 110 meter hurdle event. The sophomore posted the fastest time in the NCAA and second-fastest in the World. Additionally, Zallow was able to crush his own school record of 13.92 seconds, set last year by 0.55 seconds.           

This is the first Runner of the Week honor that Zallow has received this season.

Ryan Booth/Youngstown State /Junior/Field/Mineral Ridge, Ohio

For the second week straight, Youngstown State’s Ryan Booth earns Horizon League’s Field Athlete of the Week. At the SRU Dave Labor Invite, Booth placed first in the shot put event with a toss of 17.57 meters.  As a result, the junior won the event by 1.75 meters. Booth finished first amongst 30 competitors.

This is the second Field Athlete of the Week honor that Booth has received this season.

The Horizon League has announced Youngstown State's Iva Domitrovich as Runner of the Week and Wright State’s Maria Heckman as Field Athlete of the Week

Iva Domitrovich / Youngstown State / Freshman / Sprints / McDonald, Ohio.

The Youngstown State women's  outdoor track and field teams was in action on Saturday at the Slippery Rock Dave Labor Invitational where freshman Iva Domitrovich picked up her first 400 meter race win of her YSU career. The Ohio native was 1st/15 with a register time of 59.20 seconds.

This is the first Runner of the Week honor that Domitrovich has received this season.

Maria Heckman / Wright State / Sophomore / Field / Minster, Ohio

The Wright State track team competed Saturday at the Miami Duals in Oxford, going 2-2 on the day with wins over Morehead State and Kent State. Sophomore Maria Heckman broke her own school record in the pole vault (3.65 meters).  Heckman placed 1st/12 and was one of three Raiders to earn a first place finish at the meet.

This is the first Field Athlete of the Week honor that Heckman has received this season.
