Indianapolis - The Horizon League announced the women's soccer All-League awards at the pre-championship banquet on Wednesday evening. Voting was conducted by the league's head coaches. The women's soccer championship kicks off Nov. 4 and will be hosted by Butler University.

Detroit's Mary Parker has burst onto the Horizon League scene as the league's coaches have deemed her Player of the Year. The sophomore leads the league in points (36), goals (16) and game-winning goals (5). Parker and the Detroit Titans will enter the Horizon League Championship as the No. 2 seed.

Michael Moynihan of UW-Milwaukee was chosen as the Horizon League Coach of the Year. The Panthers will enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed, as Moynihan has led them to an undefeated (7-0) season in league play. This year marks the fourth time in eight seasons that Moynihan has garnered the Coach of the Year award.

Julie Kenkel of Loyola earned Newcomer of the Year accolades. Kenkel has started 17 of 18 matches and has scored three goals on the season, two of which were game-winning goals. The Ramblers will enter the Horizon League Championship as the No. 4 seed.

Butler and UW-Milwaukee dominated the All-League First Team as each institution occupied three spots. Detroit and UW-Green Bay each added two athletes to the list and Wright State followed with one. The First Team also features Sarah Oligney (UW-Green Bay), Mary Beth Young (Wright State), Allison Epple (Detroit) and Meredith Buemi (Butler) who are all repeat members from the 2003 First Team. Young, Epple and Kate Lord (Butler) were also members of the 2002 First Team.
