The Horizon League has announced Milwaukee’s Mandie Siehs as Women’s Swimmer of the Week and Cleveland State’s Tori Taffner as Women’s Diver of the Week.

Mandie Siehs earned a total of four first place wins to help Milwaukee cruise pass Chicago with a 186-105 victory. The senior collected two individual first place sweeps, with a time of 23.65 in the 50 freestyle and 52.11 in the 100 freestyle. Siehs and her teammates took home first place in the 400 medley relay with a time of 1.45.65 and she help break a pool record in the 400 freestyle relay in her final swim in home pool with a time of 3:30.66.

This is the first Swimmer of the Week honor Siehs has received this season.

Tori Taffner/Cleveland State/Senior/Diver/ Mansfield Ohio

Taffner participated in four diving events this weekend, finishing amongst the top half in each. The senior finished 1st/5 at UIC in 1-meter diving as well as 3-meter diving with scores of 240.90 and 244.73. She also won the 1-meter event contested among 8 athletes vs. YSU, in addition to placing third in 3-meter diving vs YSU with a score of 246.76. Taffner helped the Vikings to s finish with a 1-1record overall on the weekend.

This is the first Diver of the Week honor that Taffner has received this season.
