Cleveland State

Susan Knight

Hometown: Milan, Ohio

Medium Knight went 4-0 for the Vikings with a 1.40 earned run average in four appearances and three starts. The senior worked 25 innings and fired three complete games and the final four innings of a 10 inning contests versus Oakland. In her two wins at Detroit and one win at Oakland, Knight struck out 24 batters and gave up just five earned runs.

Cleveland State

Erica McNew

Hometown: Canton, Ohio

Medium McNew hit .563 with eight runs, two doubles, two home runs and right RBI to lead Cleveland State to a 5-1 away record this last week. The senior posted a 1.063 slugging percentage while also tallying a .720 on-base percentage. In addition, she also had multiple hits in four of the six contests and drew nine walks over the games.

Oakland

Mike Brosseau

Hometown: Portage, Ind.

Medium Brosseau hit .474 with nine hits in five games last week and recorded five RBIs. He capped off the weekend with a three-run home run in the series finale against Wright State for the only runs in a 3-0 victory. Brosseau leads the league with nine home runs and ranks inside the top-10 in the Horizon League in slugging percentage and on-base percentage.

Oakland

Tyler Palm

Hometown: West Branch, Mich.

Medium Palm became the first Oakland player since 2014 to toss a complete game shutout as he allowed just two hits on Sunday against the Raiders. He struck out a season-high seven batters and allowed just one walk as Oakland defeated Wright State for the first time in 11 years.

Milwaukee

Brian Keller

Hometown: Germantown, Wis.

Medium Keller struck out a career-high 11 batters in a complete game shutout, leading the Milwaukee to a 6-0 victory over NKU Friday. Keller gave up back-to-back hits to lead off the game and was brilliant the rest of the way, allowing just one more base hit wile recording the next 27 outs. He ended the day with 11 K's, no walks and three hits allowed. He retired 17 of 18 batters following the consecutive base hits to open the game and never reached a three-ball count in the entire contest.

Milwaukee

Karlie Place

Hometown: River Falls, Wis.

Medium Place had a successful day in the Pole Vault at Drake Alternative placing first. Breaking the school record set in 2011, the sophomore cleared a height of 4.01 meters, marking the first time she had cleared thirteen feet. Place ranks 41st in the region, earning a berth to regionals and 82nd in the nation. Going into the Horizon League championship, she leads the performance list.

Youngstown State

Ryan Booth

Hometown: Mineral Ridge, OH

Medium Booth placed first in multiple throwing events at the Ashland Alumni Open. With a throw of 17.25 meters, the sophomore took first in the shot put. Heaving the discus 48.25 meters, he came back to win his second event of the day.

Youngstown State

Amber Eles

Hometown: Macedonia, Ohio

Medium Eles claimed second in the 100-meter hurdles at the Ashland Alumni Open. The sophomore ran a time of 14.02. She leads the Horizon League performance list going into the Track and Field Championship.

Northern Kentucky

Andrew Schille

Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio

Medium Schille took home a first-place victory in the 1,500 meter run at the RedHawk Invitational. Running a time of 3:51.32, the sophomore outlasted a field of 48 runners to cross the finish line first. His time marks a new personal record along with a third place spot on the Horizon League performance list.
