UIC 16,
Niles, Ohio - Ten different Penguins combined for 14 hits, including posting five in a five-run sixth that lifted Youngstown State to a 13-5 victory over Toledo in a non-conference game Tuesday night at Eastwood Field.
Chicago, Ill. - University of Illinois at Chicago senior third baseman Bryan Russo broke a 13-all tie in the bottom of the seventh inning with a solo home run, his second blast of the evening, as the Flames staved off a late Eastern Illinois rally, picking up the 16-15 non-conference victory in a slugfest over the Panthers at Les Miller Field on Tuesday night.
Eastlake, Ohio - An eight-run Cleveland State lead in the ninth was seemingly in doubt as Akron rallied for five runs before the Vikings put the rally to an end for a 9-6 win at Classic Park on Tuesday night. The win sends the Vikings to 6-20 on the season and ends a six-game losing streak. The Zips fall to 13-21 on the year.
