The 2007 Horizon League Championships completed action on day one as the Detroit men and Butler women stood atop the leader boards.
Detroit's David Byrne had the lowest men's individual score of the day with a 141. Byrne posted a tournament-low 67 in the second round. As a team, Detroit (588) has a slight edge over UW-Green Bay (595), while the rest of the field is not far behind.
The Butler women are making a strong campaign to defend their team title, but Detroit could overcome a slight deficit in final play tomorrow. The Bulldogs finished with a 666, while the Titans are two shots behind with 668.
Loyola's Lucy McGovern posted the lowest single round of the day with a 77. Detroit's Mandi Dupuis owns the low women's score for the day after posting rounds of 79 and 83 for a total of 162.

Action resumes Tuesday morning with the third and final round beginning with the men teeing off at 8 a.m. and the women get underway at 8:30 a.m.
