INDIANPOLIS – Cleveland State’s Patrick Luth shared medalist honors at the Wildcat Invitational and has been named Horizon League Golfer of the Week. Luth fired a 3-under 139, including an opening-round 68.

Patrick Luth shared medalist honors to help Cleveland State claim a runner-up finish at the Wildcat Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at the par-71, 7,055-yard White Manor Springs CC.

Luth shot a 3-under-par 68 during the first round and made three birdies in the second round en route to a 71. He won his first career tournament and became the first CSU player to win an event since Joey Krecic won the Wright State Invitational in April of 2016.

Luth posted a 36-hole total of 139 (68-71).

The Vikings carded an even-par round of 284 in the final round to climb two spots in the standings and finish in second place.

This is Luth’s second Golfer of the Week honor this season (March 1).
