Horizon League Men's Basketball TV Game of the Week features Detroit at UIC

This week's Fox Sports Net Horizon League Men's Basketball Game of the Week features a key match-up of upper-division teams as third-place Detroit (7-8, 4-1) plays at fourth-place UIC (8-7, 3-2) this Thursday, Jan. 20. Tip-off is 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) at the UIC Pavilion on Chicago's south side. The game will air live on Fox Sports Net Chicago and Fox Sports Net Detroit.


The Titans have won four of their last five games after opening the season 3-7 and feature the Horizon League's top rebounding corps led by 6-foot-9 junior center Ryvon Covile's six rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Brandon Cotton, a transfer from Michigan State, is averaging a team-leading 17.7 points per game since becoming eligible at the semester break.


The Flames, the defending Horizon League Tournament champions, are also on a roll, having won four straight to move above the .500 mark for the first time this season. Senior guard Cedrick Banks, the Preseason Player of the Year, ranks fourth in the League with 15.1 points per game, while senior forward Armond Williams averages 10.7 points and a team-best 6.5 rebounds per contest.


Josh Lewin will call the play-by-play for Thursday's game with color commentary by Dave Kaplan. Chris Boden will handle sideline duties.
