INDIANAPOLIS – This week’s Horizon League Offensive Player of the week, Milwaukee forward Evan Conway netted two goals in the Panthers’ defeat of Horizon League-leading opponent, Wright State. Northern Kentucky’s goalkeeper, Jim Barkei claims Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week for a second time this season by leading the Norse to their seventh shutout of the season.

Evan Conway (Sophomore/Whitefish Bay, Wis.) had an incredible outing against first-place Wright State, scoring the first goal of the game to get UWM back to even at 1-1. He then topped that with the golden goal in overtime, one of his five shots (4 on goal) in the contest as the Panthers claimed a huge 3-2 win.

Jim Barkei recorded a season-high 10 saves in the team's 0-0 draw against UIC on Saturday afternoon. The Flames had 22 shots in the match. This was Barkei's seventh shutout of the year, which ranks as the most shutouts in a season for NKU men's soccer in the program's Division I era. He has a 0.803 save percentage and a 0.89 goals allowed average in 2017.
