Indianapolis, Ind. - The Horizon League is proud to recognize 490 student-athletes as members of the 2004 Spring Academic Honor Roll.

UW-Milwaukee led the list with 78 student-athletes. Butler placed 66 honorees while 64 athletes represented Detroit.

A sport-by-sport breakdown places women's cross-country/track (63), women's soccer (57) and women's swimming and diving (53) at the top of the list. On the men's side, men's cross-country/track and field (55), baseball (32) and men's swimming and diving (31) received the most academic honors.

Candidates for the Academic Honor Roll needed to meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participate in at least one of the League's 19 sports; 2) must have completed three semesters (four quarters on the quarter system) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3) must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 as of June 20, 2004.
