Indianapolis, Ind. --The Horizon League is proud to recognize 505 student-athletes as members of the 2004 Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Butler led the list with 75 student-athletes. UW-Milwaukee placed 70 honorees, while Wright State followed with 61 athletes.

A sport-by-sport breakdown places women's soccer (59), women's swimming and diving (57) and women's track and field (53) at the top of the list. On the men's side, men's soccer (45), men's track and field (43) and men's cross country (43) received the most academic honors.

Candidates for the Academic Honor Roll needed to meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participate in at least one of the League's 19 sports; 2) must have completed three semesters (four quarters on the quarter system) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3) must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 as of Dec. 20, 2004.
