INDIANAPOLIS - The Horizon League Network -- www.horizonleaguenetwork.tv -- will provide free live streaming video of Friday's Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship second-round doubleheader from Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the League office announced Wednesday (March 5).
The feed will go live at 5:50 p.m. ET, with coverage beginning at 5:55 p.m.
Third-seed and defending champion Wright State University will play sixth-seed Valparaiso University at 6 p.m. ET, followed by fourth-seed University of Illinois at Chicago against eighth-seed Loyola University Chicago at 8 p.m.
Veteran Indianapolis announcer Scott Uecker will call the play-by-play, with former college basketball coach Bob Lovell handling the color commentary and Damon Lewis providing sideline coverage.
The doubleheader will be produced by WebStream Productions, Inc., and feature a six-camera shoot with multiple-replay capability, just as it would for broadcast or cable television.
For Tuesday's Horizon League championship game, HLN will web cast a live post-game show beginning at 11 p.m. ET or as soon as the ESPN broadcast has concluded. The show will include live coverage of the championship celebration and awards ceremony, plus interviews with coaches and student-athletes.
In addition, HLN will feature on-demand game previews and post-game recaps throughout the tournament and live blogs during the semifinals and championship game.
Beyond HLN's coverage, Saturday's semifinals will be broadcast on ESPNU beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET, with second-seed Cleveland State University playing the winner of the Wright State-Valparaiso game, followed by top-seed and regular-season champion Butler University facing the UIC-Loyola winner at 6:30 p.m.
The Horizon League championship game will air Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN at the site of the higher-remaining seed.
